Information on the Buying and Selling

When you wish to purchase a book, the price can be found either inside (in pencil) or outside (coloured sticker) the front cover. If a red star is on the inside cover, then the book can not be returned for credit. All other books purchased from us may be returned for 75% credit. When purchasing a book, you may use credit for up to one half of the book’s price. When you offer us books which you did not purchase from us, we will usually give credit to one third of the price for which we expect to sell the book. We only pay cash for books which we really need, and of which we do not have duplicate copies in stock, so please do not be offended if we decline cash purchase of your books. We are happy for you to leave boxes of books with us for assessment, but if you do, once we have contacted you, we can only keep books we decline to accept for 30 days, after which they will be given to charity. We regularly give unwanted books to charitable organisations, and you are welcome to leave books which neither you nor we want for such disposal.
